Have you ever seen the logo on Angle products or packaging? This slightly retro design is actually a reproduction of the symbol mark used when the company was first founded.

In 1907, 13 years after the founding of Yamamoto Hatsujiro Shoten, the predecessor to Angle, General Manager Genzaburo Inai traveled to Europe and the United States. This was the year before the Tamatsukuri Factory, Japan's first full-scale knitting production facility, was established. His purpose was to inspect the knitting industry in Europe and the United States and to select knitting machines for domestically producing high-quality knitted fabric. Having witnessed the global market, General Manager Inai realized the importance of marketing, which is now commonplace, and upon returning to Japan, he immediately compiled the basic principles of corporate activities.

1. Create excellent, genuine products.
2. Conduct sales activities honestly.
3. Implementing effective advertising activities.


These three principles are expressed as a triangle in our company emblem and trademark, which was registered in 1909.

Since then, "ANGLE" has been used as the main trademark for many years on underwear products, while the logo from that time has gradually become less and less seen even within the company.


Time passed, and now it's 2021, and Asamerry's 70th anniversary is fast approaching. As we approach this milestone, we were looking for a new logo to symbolize Angle products. We considered many designs, but couldn't find a good one. There were many beautiful and stylish logos, but when we thought about whether they were suitable for Angle products, none of them felt right. Then, while looking back at Angle's history, we happened upon the logo from when the company was first founded, which we introduced earlier.

"This is it!"

It was a moment when everyone there felt united.
First of all, we were intuitively drawn to the design, but the three principles represented by the triangle in the logo are things we still value today. They are also the very essence of the brand we want to continue to be. So it was only natural that we were drawn to the logo that was born from that.

The design featuring the three triangle principles will be appearing in various locations in the future. Along with the revival of the logo, the brand will also return to its roots.
