We wear innerwear every day. While there are many clothes out there made from high-performance materials, it is the innerwear that determines our everyday comfort. Founded over 130 years ago, Angle's comfortable clothing is the result of meticulous design and the skills of its artisans.
This time, we visited Wakayama Prefecture, where Angle's fabric is knitted, to learn about the knitting process.

Angle's innerwear is made with circular knitting, a method often used for innerwear and cut-and-sew items. By knitting in a tubular shape, there are no seams from the armpits to the hem, making it feel comfortable against the skin. This knitting method has been Angle's standard for many years, precisely because the innerwear comes into direct contact with the skin.

The fabric for the autumn/winter innerwear "Air Merry" is made using a special knitting method that knits two pieces of fabric together at the same time. These circularly arranged needles are an important part of connecting the pieces of fabric together.
Also, the number of needles used for each size is fixed, so we calculate and set the knot design and how to bring out the needles within the set number of needles.

In addition to these techniques, they continue to adhere to traditional manufacturing methods, taking the time to rewind the thread and coat it with wax to prevent damage to the fabric from friction. Although they can only knit a few meters per hour, the careful and time-consuming process results in the high-quality fabric that is unique to Angle.
This time we introduced Angle's knitting process. Since our founding, we have always placed the highest priority on quality, and the products we deliver are not just knitted, but are also carefully produced in every stage, from selecting materials to spinning, dyeing, and sewing, all tailored to the product.
We will continue to value Japanese craftsmanship and careful manufacturing, and deliver high-quality innerwear that supports daily comfort.
