About Asamerry
Asamerry was created over 70 years ago to make summers in Japan’s hot and humid climate more comfortable. Crafted with 100% cotton, the yarn is designed to quickly absorb sweat, and it’s carefully made by artisans in the knitwear capital of Wakayama.
Our Commitment to Craftsmanship
Asamerry starts with the finest extra-long staple cotton, spun into high-twist yarn that’s singed to remove fuzz and improve breathability. The yarn becomes a unique tubular fabric, with minimal skin contact and excellent breathability, made in Wakayama, Japan. This creates linen-like comfort in cotton. After singeing, the fabric takes on a brownish hue and is dyed to a crisp natural white at our eco-friendly dyeing factory, where Asamerry is made.

Specialized Knit Patterns for Excellent Breathability
Asamerry uses a unique loop-stitch knit to achieve a linen-like comfort using 100% cotton. This structure minimizes skin contact and maximizes breathability, making you less prone to the sweat chill common with synthetic fabrics.
We use different knits for different needs: flexible Rib knits for a contoured fit and smooth Jersey knits with moderate stretch for everyday comfort.
